Central Library

The newly established state-of-the-art Central Library stands as a cornerstone of academic and research excellence within the institution. Thoughtfully designed to cultivate a vibrant learning culture, the library provides an ideal blend of traditional and modern resources. Fully air-conditioned and functional 24x7, it spans a well-utilized area of 503.4 m². The library boasts a student reading room that comfortably accommodates 120 students — exceeding the minimum standard of 100. It has been thoughtfully planned to meet the diverse needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students alike. The library includes a dedicated room for stocking old books, journals, and archival materials, ensuring long-term access to essential academic resources. In addition, exclusive reading spaces are provided for faculty members, along with well-equipped rooms for the librarian and other support staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and guidance.
Resource Hub
The physical collection of the library is extensive, featuring more than 2,000 books — significantly surpassing the required count of 1,500. This rich and varied collection supports a broad spectrum of disciplines and caters to the academic needs of students and faculty across departments. The digital infrastructure is equally robust, with 8 internet nodes available, adhering to the recommendation of having at least 10% of the annual intake supported. The library also subscribes to a total of 73 journals, comprising 53 Indian and 20 foreign titles, all accessible in both hard copy and electronic formats. This comprehensive range of scholarly resources ensures that users remain informed of the latest developments in their respective fields. The integration of digital and print media provides a seamless and flexible research environment, supporting advanced learning and inquiry-based education.
Learning Space
Beyond academic resources, the library offers a thoughtfully designed infrastructure to enhance the user experience. The ground floor hosts a help desk, spacious reading rooms, an undergraduate digital library, and a book stacking area with a long-term capacity exceeding one lakh volumes. The first floor is tailored for postgraduate students and faculty, featuring specialized journal sections, media libraries, and two modern conference halls for workshops and academic discussions. Centralized air conditioning ensures comfort throughout, while open-access shelving and the latest automation technologies make book issues and returns efficient and hassle-free.
